Lourdes Valverde, “Through the Window;” We are not criminals
Mark your calendars the first Thursdays of October, November and December 6-8 pm for a vinyl night hosted by Odeon Collective. This event is free and open to the public.
Vinyl nights are October 1, Nov. 5 and Dec. 3, all during the Our Art, Our Region, Our Time exhibition at the gallery on display through Sunday, Dec. 20. The sixth annual exhibition showcases 102 works by 86 artists. Visitors to the gallery can expect to see paintings, photography, sculpture, digital works and more, all created by artists with deep connections to Arkansas or our region.
This exhibition continues to grow in popularity among local artists with 371 artists submitting 659 pieces of art this year; both are record responses to the annual call for submissions, making this one of the largest exhibitions to date. Walton Arts Center’s visual arts committee, alongside guest curator Kathy P. Thompson, select the works and seek to celebrate the talented artists who call Northwest Arkansas home.
