Show Spotlight: The Notebook

April 6, 2026

Audiences in Northwest Arkansas are about to fall in love all over again with a beloved story.

Based on the best-selling novel that inspired the iconic film, The Notebook tells the story of Allie and Noah, both from different worlds, who share a lifetime of love despite the forces that threaten to pull them apart. “Full of butterfly-inducing highs and beautiful songs” (Entertainment Weekly), The Notebook is a deeply moving portrait of the enduring power of love.

“A love story for the ages.” - The New York Daily News

This production “is ultimately a celebration of life, love and the power of memory,” said producers Kevin McCollum and Kurt Deutsch. “Audiences first fell in love with this timeless story as a novel, then as an iconic film, and now they can experience it anew as a moving musical event. With an unforgettable score and a beautifully crafted book, The Notebook comes to life on stage in a way that will resonate deeply with audiences across North America.”

Since its 1996 debut as a novel by Nicholas Sparks, The Notebook has been an international sensation. The 2004 film adaptation grossed over $115 million worldwide, cementing its status as a cultural icon. The compelling love story of Allie and Noah, brought to life by Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling, made its mark on popular culture with Gosling winning the Teen Choice Award for choice movie actor. The Notebook's impact has resonated through generations, making its characters cultural staples. Its poignant narrative has remained a tear-jerking favorite, consistently revered for impressive production qualities. The musical builds on this rich history, presenting the timeless love story in a new, immersive format. By harnessing the narrative's passion and visual appeal, it has reimagined the epic romance for the stage, creating an unmissable experience for both die-hard fans and newcomers alike.
